Huawei U8230 quick hands-on
Source: Engadget Mobile - 10 January 2010
Some of you may be familiar with the Huawei U8230's corporate cousin, the U8220, sold on T-Mobile UK as the Pulse -- and it comes as no surprise that there's very little different in the new model. Like the Pulse, the U8230 features a 3.2 megapixel cam paired with a secondary VGA piece up front, quadband EDGE / triband HSPA, and a 3.5-inch display. The screen's decen...
Android-powered Huawei U8220 Pulse passes FCC with AT&T 3G bands
Source: IntoMobile - 05 November 2009
We’ve already seen the Huawei U8220 Pulse passing the FCC hurdle with T-Mobile USA-ready frequencies, and now we have the same/similar device taking the same route, this time sporting the ready-for-AT&T (NYSE: T) 3G bands. That’s 850 and 1900 MHz baby, meaning Huawei’s Android-powered smartphone could end up in AT&T’s (and Canada’...

Android-powered handsets are still rare enough so that the world can't afford to segment them by continent -- when a big model comes out, it's pretty much got to go everywhere. Okay, correction: it doesn't have to go everywhere, but we certainly want it to -- and fortunately, it looks like some lucky carri...
FCC Fridays

We here at Engadget Mobile tend to spend way too much time poring over the latest FCC filings, be it on the net or directly on the ol' Federal Communications Commission's site. Since we couldn't possibly (want to) cover all the stuff that goes down there, we've gathered up all the raw info you may want (but probably don't need). Enjoy!

Not that our Stateside T-Mobile needs much help scoring Android handsets, but this phone looks strictly reserved for our European brethren. The T-Mobile Pulse is actually Huawei's U8220, which looks a little drab compared to its U8230 sibling, and works in what seems to be standard smartphone specs these days: 3.2 megapixel cam...

Huawei U8220 also known as T-Mobile Pulse
Source: Ubergizmo - 19 August 2009
The FCC has finally given their nod of approval to the Android-powered Huawei U8220, although this model will be launched as the T-Mobile Pulse. There is no word on whether the Pulse will come with T-Mobile USA's 3G connectivity (1700MHz), so the chances are high that the approved handset will probably head for Europe instead. Still, we're keeping our fingers crossed...
