...am not dissapointed with what apple has pulled off. For a start the touch contains the same software as the iPhone and is only missing the phone (as you can now pay to install the email software). This is no biggy to be quite as honest as who wants to pay £1000+ for a phone.
The interface is set out nicely, is clear and easy to navigate. No problems there.
Once you find your way to the music, and play around with turning it sideways and flicking ...

The case fits beautifully and is molded to conform to the profile of the two buttons on the Touch (the power button and the main menu button). One thing I really like is that unlike other protective cases, this one does not increase the profile of the iPod to the point that it doesn't fit into a cradle. I use a couple of devices with cradle interfaces and it fits snuggly even with the case on.
The screen protector that was included went on smoothly ...

...the ipod touch only cost apple $197 (around £100), less than hald of what apple are selling the touch for. The third and final fault with the touch is the hard drive space which is virtually non existent. Personally, I have a lot of music and videos that I would like to store on my Ipod but the small 16gb hard drive just cant handle the amount of music and video I want to put on it, unlike the ipod classic which can hold up to 160gb, 10 times as much ...

...it is. How on earth Apple managed to pack everything in it is way beyond me. The first decent thing therefore is the packaging - nothing is wasted. The box is incredibly small so won't clutter anything.
Now onto the main review. The Apple iPod Touch is one amazing music player. Unfortunately it still does not support OGG-Vorbis, but of course AAC makes up for this so you can still retain great quality sound with lower bitrates. The iPod Touch doesn't ...

The apple ipod touch is an absolutely amazing product. The design is very sleek and sexy. The ipod touch is the same basic concept of the apple iphone but without the phone capability.
There are many pros to this fantastic portable music device.
It looks Fantastic.
Easy to use for all.
great coverflow for looking through your albums.
Very good screen (surprisingly scratchproof)
There are also some cons (but most can be easily solved):
this ...

The product is playing almost all formats which are mostly used in the market. It is with the touch which almost a unique feature with 120 g weight &22 hour life span of the battery. It is having 16 GB memory which is rather important in the quoted price

...two previous iPods and an Apple MacBook. I found that the iPod Touch was very easy to use and the Touch Screen was very user-friendly.
The thing I like most about the iPod Touch is the looks and feel of it. You can be very proud walking around in the streets with this iPod and will feel as if everyone is watching you use this superb device.
The only things I found frustrating about the iPod Touch is the "Safari" internet browsing facility. Once ...

...the company loqo its apple. Apple makes awesome products and has great support. This has great sound along with its touch screen. Words cant really discribe how good this product is. The new firmware for this ipod is awesome, you can now create your own icons on the main menu. The web HTML browser for this thing is amazingly fast, you can check your email go on myspace even check your stocks all on this little device. I own one of these things and ...

...want a bit of the apple touchscreen magic then this is for you.
The touchscreen is one of the most responsive things on the market. You can surf the web in full, no watered down web. Full webpages where double tapping the screen zooms in and pinching does the same, get your mail on the move, use google maps and check the stocks and weather all from your pocket. Couple that with a decent phone and you have something much better than a iphone.
Music ...

its cool and performance is simply great ,it has got a great look and good configuration , it is worth taking the piece. My Apple iPod is wonderful! It hasn't malfunctioned, and the quality of the sound and picture it impeccable! If you don't feed your dog it will die; if you don't take care of your iPod it will break, but this machine is totally worth the investment. I had a collection of over 300 CD's, and many are scratched or ruined. There is no such problem anymore with my iPod. I think it is an investment that will hold up into the future. Thanks Apple.

The iPod Touch is excellent! Much better than I thought it would be, the YouTube function is brilliant, aswell as the Cover Flow. The price for the 16gb is a bit pricey but is worth it for what this little device delivers. I think the iPod Touch is mostly for the younger generation and is also for style. The touchscreen is very responsive and easy to use compared to other touchscreen devices I've used. You can see the screen perfectly in any kind ...

I finally pulled the trigger and bought the 16 GB touch with software update. I love it. I was most worried about if I would actually be able to find wi-fi connections. The wi-fi was the main thing that I thought would make it worth the price. It works great around my house and at work. The email and stock quotes are particularly useful for me. Surfing the web is easy with the safari browser. Overall, it is as good as I hoped. Oh yeah, it plays music ...

I think that the overall performance is good, but I found the interface clunky and over done. Just because it has a touch screen doesnt make it have to have childish over colored menus.

With the upcoming software development kit allowing for a wealth of applications, the ipod touch is set to take the world by storm... for a second time!
It all feels very expensive when you unbox it because basically... it is! The screen is surprisingly large and vivid however despite this the device doesn't feel bulky. The 'multi-touch' interface is perfect (although the on screen keyboard does take getting used to) although the lack of physical ...

...the amount of memory. But apple could have done a lot better. Take for instance with older ipods you could use your ipod as external storage from your computer but this feature has been taken out of the touch for no apparent reason. The touch also has no volume buttons like the iphone which could come in handy.
However the screen is great for viewing videos, the sound quality is great as is the general music experience. Coverflow really adds to ...

this ipod is really nice to play with but it is quite ard to select things when you have big fingers, and it doesn'tt have games in it, but you can go on the internet with safari so it is a nice ipod and it doesn't give you that cheap felling when it is in your hand.

...Mp3 player version of the Apple iPhone, and in my opinion a more attractive version as well because the Touch has a black metal edge instead of that shiny metal around the iPhone which gives it a sleeker look.
The menus are incredible, you haven't lived until you've flicked through your music library like this, with one flick of your finger you can soar through hundreds of albums all with their own album art at display. More than that the menus ...

I have to say that Apple are pure genius when designing products.
Right lets get down to business, The Touch is only 8mm deep, just 60 percent of the thickness of the iPhone, and only a scant 1.5mm thicker than the new iPod Nano. It is the same width as the iPhone, but slightly shorter: 110mm tall rather than 115mm. In my opinion the touch is slightly closer to an iPod than the iPhone.
The touch is a completely different shape then the other Ipods. ...

This sleek and elegant piece of equipment from apple has quite literally, revolutionised my life. The seemless touch screen interface is a joy to use, and surfing the internet is extremely quick and easy, whether it be at home or college. Uploading music and videos is instant, and it automatically downloads album art, making my iPod look attractive, whatever it is playing. On the downside, the price. Whether this product is worth £280 ( £18 if you want Apple's latest features on it) is completely down to you, but I have not yet experienced any faults with my new toy.

Ohh and this thing loves fingerprints.
Personally Id wait for the 2nd gen touch, but I got sucked in by Apples hypnotic marketing.....Now maybe the new mac Air is better.... ...
